How do bank matching and reconciliation work in Exact Online?

Bank matching in Exact Online works by syncing bank transactions and matching them with invoices and bookings on amount, reference, IBAN, relation and date. Every match gets a confidence score. Above your threshold Autoboeker reconciles automatically; below it, the match waits as a proposal. Deviating amounts and unclear items are flagged instead of being booked silently.

Matching also recognises partial payments, credit notes, payment arrangements, recurring payments, foreign currencies and PayPal payments. If Autoboeker finds no match, the transaction becomes a client question. The answer, such as an uploaded receipt, is analysed, booked and matched. That leaves fewer unexplained bank lines at the end of the period.
