Autoboeker (“Autoboeker”, “we”, “us” or “our”) attaches great importance to the careful handling of personal data. In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we process via our website, for what purposes and on what legal bases, and what rights you have. This policy applies to visitors to autoboeker.nl and users of our web forms and newsletter.

2. Definitions

  • Personal data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

  • Process/Processing: any operation performed on personal data (such as collecting, recording, consulting, storing, transmitting, erasing).

  • GDPR: General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679).

3. What personal data do we process?

We only process data that you provide to us yourself or that arise from your use of our website.

  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g. retention obligations) – legal obligation.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use a cookie banner that allows you to give consent per category:

  1. Strictly necessary – basic functions, security, load balancing.

  2. Statistics/Analytics – including Google Analytics for aggregated visitor statistics.

  3. Marketing/UX – including Meta Pixel (advertising/conversion) and Microsoft Clarity (UX analysis/session recordings).

Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed after you opt in. Some providers process data outside the EEA; we rely on EU-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the appropriate safeguards offered by these parties.

6. Recipients (processors) and sharing of data

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with parties that provide services on our behalf (hosting, email, CRM, analytics, marketing). We have concluded data processing agreements with these parties; they only process data in accordance with our instructions. We only share data with competent authorities where required by law.

7. Retention periods

  • Contact/demo details: up to a maximum of 24 months after the last contact.

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

  • Server logs: generally ≤ 90 days, for security and incident handling.

  • Cookies/trackers: in accordance with the lifetime per category and your choice in the cookie banner.

We do not retain personal data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (TLS), role-based access control and logging/auditing.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and to withdraw consent.
You can send your request to info@autoboeker.nl. We will respond within 30 days at the latest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).

10. Automated decision-making

Via our website, we do not take decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

11. International transfers

Where personal data are transferred outside the EEA (e.g. via Analytics/Marketing tools), we use appropriate safeguards, such as SCCs.

12. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy. The most recent version is always available on this page. In the event of material changes, we will inform you via the website.
