Every administration has its own particularities. One client books fuel to a company car, another claims it as a private car; one has mixed VAT use, another does not. An administration rule records such an agreement for one client, so documents in that administration are consistently booked the same way.
For a firm, an administration rule prevents client knowledge from living only in one employee's head. When a colleague takes over an administration or steps in during illness, the agreement is already recorded. Administration rules also ensure consistency: the same supplier is booked the same way every month, regardless of who processes it.
